Background on Dr. Hinkle Printable CV
Dr. Hinkle was born in Ohio and raised in West Virginia. He received
his Bachelor of Biomedical Engineering at Case Western University, with
cum laude honors in 1996. He received his Doctor of Medicine Degree at
West Virginia University School of Medicine in 2000. He trained in Internal
Medicine at West Virginia University Hospitals from 2000-2001. Dr. Hinkle entered
his Ophthalmology Residency training program at Tulane University Health
Sciences Center in New Orleans, Lousianna, and completed that in
2004. He then worked in Jackson, Tennessee, as a general ophthalmologist
with a specialty in glaucoma. In 2006, he traveled to Boston
to do an
additional Fellowship in Cornea and External Diseases, and in Ocular
Immunology with Dr. Foster. He completed his training with Dr Foster in July,
2007 and was invited to join the full-time staff of the
Massachusetts Eye Research and Surgery Institution.
